My laid back, easy going baby boy has been taken over by a little monster suffering from the terrible twos!!! I really want my sweet little man back....his replacement is getting on my nerves!!!! Luckily there are enough of the old Samuel shining through to give me hope that he is still in there somewhere but for the most part he is the little monster.
Some of his symptoms include:
- He now has the ability to comletely turn his hearing on and off...mostly stays at the off position. He will completely ignore me when I call his name, ask him to stop, etc.
- He has taken to spitting his disagreement to things....example....I will ask him to do something like get into the bathtub and he will spit instead of responding to me verbally. I REALLY HATE SPIT!!!! It is gross and one thing I really cannot tolerate.
-If I pick him up to carry him from point a to point b he will hit at me and/or try to spit at me...he has never been a hitter....or a spitter and it is driving me INSANE!
Has anyone out there experienced this with their little angels????? What can I do to stop the hitting and spitting???!!!!
Simon has taken to hitting in an attempt to show is discontentment with anything we tell him to NOT do. I wish I had enough free hands to yank him up by the arm and spank him....I usually just end up calling him a turd and walking away though.
ReplyDeleteI never believed in the 'terrible two's' until Simon started exhibiting the classic 'symptoms' around 15 months! Cate never really went through that, but she is getting caught up on rottenness now at age 5. And by this time next year, Liam will be starting to turn.
Yeah, it sucks. I feel ya!
It happens to the best of them, hopefully for mommy's sake it will pass quickly. I just can not imagine sweet little Sam being any thing other than funny and cute. :)
